Lisa Schlesinger

Ms. Schlesinger won the BBC International Playwriting Com-petition for her play Rock Ends Ahead. Her radio plays have been broadcast on the BBC World Service, BBC Radio 4 and Westdeutscher Rundfunk Cologne in Germany. Schlesinger is the recipient of many awards and grants, including CEC Artslink and NEA Artsreach Grants. Most recently, she received a $25,000 NEA/TCG Playwrights Residency Grant in support of working toward completion of her play, Celestial Bodies, which includes an adaptation of Galileo's Dialogue Concerning Two World Systems.

Carol Gorman
B.A., University of Iowa

is the author (and best friend) of such characters as Jerry Flack (from the Dork novels), Lizard Flanagan (from the Lizard Flanagan novels), Malcolm Wylie (from Jennifer-the-Jerk Is Missing) and Chelsey Bernard (from Chelsey and the Green-Haired Kid). Her latest book is Stumptown Kid, a sports/mystery/suspense novel set in the 1950s.
