Fred Waage teaches English at East Tennessee State University, with a special interest in environmental literature. He is the editor of Teaching Environmental Literature (1985) and co-editor of its expanded second edition (2006). His Sinking Creek Journal: An Environmental Book of Days will be published this year. His poetry and fiction have appeared in chapbooks and many small magazines.
