Francesca

In the town of Jacksonville, there lived a girl named Kat. Kat desperately wanted to become famous, but lacked the acting skills, so she left her loving home to try to make it big in Chicago.

Shortly after arriving, she saw an ad for an audition for the play "Little Big Town." Kat went to audition, but she did not make it. "There are tons of other plays I can audition for," she thought as she scanned the newspaper.

After going to another audition and still no luck, Kat started to lose her confidence. She needed to find work soon because she was almost out of money. Scanning the newspaper again, she found an audition for the play, "Francesca."

That night she got a phone call. She had made it! Well partially, anyway. She was to be the understudy for the main part of Francesca. She went the next day to pick up her script and it turned out to be the same one she auditioned with that helped her get the part. Kat was finally in the acting world.

The more Kat read the script, the better actress she became. It was as if the script was somehow helping her. Kat soon became better than the actual Francesca, Sarah. On top of that, Kat found out that the only reason Sarah got the main role is because her father is the director’s boss. Every one knew that Kat was the better actress and deserved it more and secretly so did Sarah.

Sarah was extremely jealous of Kat and had to find a way to get rid of her rival. So, when Kat was practicing, Sarah went up into the ropes and untied a sandbag right where Kat was standing below. As she untied it, however, the rope wound around her leg and Sarah was thrown over. Kat moved out of the way just in time for Sarah to fall straight on her ankle. In the fall, Sarah had broken her ankle and was not able to perform.

So Kat took over the role and became famous for her wonderful performance in "Francesca."
