Baby BrianTony KruegerLong, long, long ago in the boondocks outside of the small village of Soxville there lived a very large family. This extremely large family consisted of a single father named Ozzie and his twelve sons. The oldest son was named Jim, followed by Paul, Jermaine, Jose, Tadahito, Mark, A.J., Jon, Joe, Freddy, Bobby, and finally there was the baby of the family, Brian. These children ranged in age from 27 all the way down to five. The first eleven sons of Ozzie were great kids and grew up just as every other normal child in the world did. Brian, on the other hand, had his fair share of problems. These problems consisted of not being potty trained at the age of five, not being able to say one single word, and also not being broken of his baby bottle yet. Poor Brian was basically a five year old boy trapped in a one year olds body. The only thing he could do that a normal five year old should be able to do is walk, which he could do very well. The main reason for Brian being the way he was had to do with the fact that his parents separated shortly after he was born and his father didn’t really have the time of day for baby Brian. He just never had anyone teaching him to go to the bathroom on his own or how to talk, so the blame cannot be placed on five year old Brian. It is almost unbelievable that he learned how to walk all by himself. This family was gradually getting worse and worse ever since the boys’ mother Maria left Ozzie, which was causing the family to almost hit rock bottom. However, the boys still all loved their father very much and he also loved his sons very much, or at least the first eleven. One day the boys all wanted to go out into the woods right east of their house to go mushroom hunting, which was one of their favorite activities, so their father gave them permission. Although little Brian wanted to go for the first time in his life, his older brothers did not want him to go because he was such a hassle to take care of. Ozzie told the oldest eleven to just go out and if Brian followed them then so be it, no big deal. Basically he was saying that he didn’t care much about Brian. What Ozzie mentioned is exactly what happened, the first eleven took off out the door into the timber and baby Brian was out right behind them. Brian kept up with his brothers for a very short time, and before long he was off by himself in the think wooded timber with nothing but his half-full baby bottle. While Brian was wandering around the woods completely lost and scared to death, his fun-loving brothers were really enjoying themselves as they continued to hunt for mushrooms. After being out for about two hours, the children had three full buckets of great looking mushrooms and were having a complete blast. They weren’t at all concerned about their baby brother Brian, who they didn’t even realize came out into the woods with them. Time went on and it was almost getting dark so the kids decided it was about time to head back towards home since they were a good mile away at least. At the same time, Brian continued to wander around completely lost and scared. As the eleven brothers were walking back they came up upon an extremely large tree. This tree was the biggest one any of them had ever seen, and it also was one of the oldest any of them had ever seen. After they stopped to admire the big beastie tree, they once again headed on their way towards home. Just seconds after the boys started walking away, they heard a very loud and unusual sound directly behind them. As they all simultaneously looked back to see what was going on all they saw was that enormous tree falling directly toward them. They had no time to react and before they knew it the tree had fallen on top of them and completely crushed all eleven boys. The only thing left was their dead bodies sunken deep into the timber grounds. Now poor little Brian was really left all by himself stranded in the middle of nowhere. Brian continued to wander for a little while longer but then he became way too tired and reached the point where he couldn’t walk anymore he was so wore out. Because of this he walked a few more feet to a nearby tree and laid down to go to sleep. He was asleep within a matter of seconds. While Brian was sleeping, Cooper the bluebird was flying around the forest just enjoying his day. Cooper, better known as Coop, is a very intelligent and extremely friendly bird who is known for helping needy people in whatever way he can. He is sometimes referred to as a magical bird because of his powers and the fact that he can talk. While Coop was flying around he noticed baby Brian sleeping beside a tree so he came down to help the poor child. When he arrived down by the boy he used his wisdom and magic to examine Brian and the bird realized all the problems the boy had. So being the magical bird he is Cooper made use of his powers and fixed the problems to make Brian into a normal five year old child. This meant that Brian was now potty trained, had the vocabulary and speech ability of an average five year old, and was also totally broken of his bottle. Cooper did all of this work to Brian while he was asleep and had no idea that when he woke up he would be a changed boy. The reason Cooper did what he did for Brian is because he knew what a tough life the boy was living and he also knew that Brian could turn out to be a very successful person in life if he was only given a chance and a little attention. When Brian did finally wake up he instantly felt that his diaper was off and he also said his first words, “what the heck, my diaper’s gone.” When these words came out of his mouth he was completely shocked, he had no idea where his diaper had went or how he was able to talk all of a sudden. Just then Cooper came flying back and landed on the ground right in front of Brian. Brian, being a typical five year old, reached out to pet the bird and was very surprised when the bird let him pet him. Brian then began talking to the pretty bluebird and was even more shocked when the bird started talking back to him. Coop told Brian that he was now potty trained, bottle broken, and able to talk. Brian understood everything Cooper told him, but was still confused and stunned on how all of this amazing stuff happened overnight. Cooper could see how lost poor Brian was so he proceeded to tell Brian how he was a magical bird and that he did all this amazing stuff to Brian while he was sleeping. Brian was very thankful for Coop and continued to thank him for at least the next few minutes. All of a sudden a bird nest and bird egg appeared on the ground right beside Brian, and Cooper told him the use of these two very magical objects. He explained to Brian how he could get in the bird nest and say where he wants to go and the bird nest would magically take him wherever he please, but Brian didn’t believe Coop. “Go ahead and hop in the nest and give it a shot,” said Cooper. So Brian stepped in the nest and said “take me home nest.” Then, poof, in an instant he found himself sitting in the bird nest right outside his home. However, he did not go into his house because he didn’t care to see his father or brothers, who he thought were also at home. He was just extremely surprised by what just happened. He then wished to go back to the forest by Cooper and that is exactly where he ended up in a matter of seconds. “Wow Cooper, this thing really does work. Is this nest mine to keep?” asked Brian. “You bet, it is all yours, but be sure not to abuse the powers of the magical nest,” stated Coop. Then Brian asked what the egg was for and Cooper began to explain the powers of the astonishing egg. He told Brian how the egg was a boomerang egg that could be thrown extremely far and could also do a lot of damage to things. The main point of the egg was to throw at either people or animals and the egg could stun, knock out, or even kill them. The damage done by the egg depends on how hard Brian throws it and what is going through his mind when he throws it. The best part of this magical egg was the fact that it was a boomerang egg which meant it would always come right back to Brian. Brian was once again truly shocked by what Cooper was telling him, but this time he believed him one hundred percent. Then Brian thanked Coop once again and before he knew it the bird was gone into the sky. Now Brian was all alone again, but now he had his two very magical and powerful items with him. He didn’t know what else to do now but to put his new toys to work, and that is exactly what he did. He got into the nest right away and asked to go to the other side of the timber which was about three miles away. Poof! There he was right at the outer edge of the woods. When Brian got there he noticed an older gentleman walking out of the timber dragging his shotgun behind him, so he went over to ask the man where he was going. The guy told Brian that he was going home because he had been hunting all day but just couldn’t shoot anything because he was such a terrible shot. Brian could tell the man desperately needed to shoot something otherwise he would possibly starve to death. Brian then told the guy to come with him back into the timber and he could help him get a deer. The man didn’t ask any questions, he just followed Brian. The two of them went right beside a pretty large tree and sat for a couple minutes waiting for a deer to run by. Just then a very good sized doe came walking within 30 yards of them, and Brian quickly grabbed his egg and threw it right at the deer as hard as his five year old body would let him. The deer instantly dropped and the egg came right back to Brian just as Cooper said it would. The guy was amazed by what had happened but he wasn’t sure if the deer was actually dead until the two of them walked up to it. When they reached the deer it was obvious that it was truly dead. Brian then told the guy that he did all he could do and his work here was done. The guy continually thanked Brian for all of his help until Brian jumped back into the nest and was gone just like that. Brian then arrived in the city of Credetown, which was approximately 30 miles north of his hometown village of Soxville. Credetown was a fairly large city with about 48,000 people living there. Brian went there to simply just check out the town and see what was happening. When he got there he noticed there were about eight cop cars speeding up the road heading towards the city bank. Just then Brian saw two men wearing ski masks come running out the back door of the bank. Intelligent Brian knew what was going on so he quickly heaved his egg at the one man knocking him out and then as soon as it came back to him he threw it again at the other guy also knocking him out. Brian knew that it would be best to only knock the two men out rather than kill them. Then Brian walked up to the one cop that arrived at the bank first and pointed to him to go around back. The cop followed Brain around the bank and that is where he found the two alleged robbers lying on the ground knocked unconscious. He quickly called his fellow police officers around the bank and they all ran over to the suspects and within no time had the two men handcuffed and placed in the back of the police car. The cops then went to look for Brain and ask him what he saw but he was no where to be found. He had already gotten into his nest and taken off. Brian continued to do good deeds for people for the next couple years until he was almost eight years old. Then he got to wondering about the rest of his family, so he got in his nest and asked to go see his biggest brother Jim. He quickly arrived at a cemetery right in front of Jim’s tombstone. He was devastated to learn that his brother Jim was dead. He then asked to go to see Paul, but he didn’t move. Brian was angry and thought the nest wasn’t working anymore so he tried it again. This time he asked to go to Joe, but again he didn’t move from the cemetery. He tried to go to Mark, nothing happened. Then he tried Jose, A.J, Bobby, Jon, Freddy, but still nothing happened. It was then that he realized that all eleven of his brothers were dead and buried together at this cemetery. Although he knew his brothers had left him to basically die that day they went mushroom hunting, he was still extremely heart broken to learn of their deaths. Because of this Brian decided that there was no point to live anymore. He figured that he had helped more than his share of people over the last two plus years and that if all his brothers were dead that he should join them. Brian then grabbed his magical egg and hit himself upside the head with it as hard as he could and he was instantly dead. Now Brain was once again reunited with his eleven older brothers.
